Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2
The scripture defines faith as being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1). It is this gift of intimacy which produces the blessings of peace, hope and joy in us. every doctrine of truth we meditate on are centered on this and the more intimate we are with God, the more we will begin to experience the inflow of this intimate grace in our lives. In every marital relationship it is this grace which fuels the atmosphere of love and intimacy between the husband and wife. The notion is this: In love the acts of both the lovers’ centers on fulfilling the desires of each other. It is this very act of grace which creates an atmosphere of love, peace and joy between the lovers (1st John 4:7). Love, peace and joy can now be experienced because of what Christ did for us. The gruesome torture He experienced at the hands of His own people is a demonstration of His love for us (Romans 5:8). This act of love resulted in the salvation of multitudes of sinners and the powers of it still continues to impact and transform lives. As we call it ‘undeserved gift’, it is indeed a gift which has become the way of life for every lover of the truth.
The death of Christ bought about peace between God and us. It is by faith alone in which we can invoke the holiness of Christ to beautify us from within. Trust and faith always kisses each other and whoever has them will be kissed by it. It is an honor to be intimate with a daughter of God but it is a greater honor to be one in flesh and spirit with the same holy daughter whose desires are the same as ours. The point is this: It is always good to appreciate godly people for their godly acts but it is even better to become what they are than to be what we are. This act of holy imitation always creates the desired desires of God in us.
It is by this that we become what the righteous are and as we continue living by it, the degree of God’s righteousness in us will increase. As stated in Isaiah’s prophetic song “You will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is steadfast, because he trust in you (Isaiah 26:3). This truth has to become our life and its power should become our guide. Enjoying the peace of intimacy with God is the first step of stepping into the righteousness of God. The gift of this faith is as important as salvation is to sinners. Faith produces its fruits in the lives of the ones who are passionately in a relationship with God. When we are faithful in love, we begin to experience all the holy pleasures that comes with it. Being in a relationship with Christ in faith will ensure us eternal life, eternal joy and eternal rewards in the next life. This is the next best thing to do in gaining access to the place where we all yearn to be in. This is an intimate faith of a intimate man desiring to be intimate in holiness with all the sons and daughters of God. This is what we are by faith. God desires us to share in His righteousness through faith. This is God’s will for us.
