IMPHAL, November 22: The 10th Manipur Polo International 2016 begins with colourful traditional and musical sessions at Mapal Kangjeibung, the oldest living polo ground in the world located in the heart of Imphal city on Tuesday. The tournament was held as part of the annual tourism festival called Manipur Sangai Festival 2016 which begins here on Monday.
This year four foreign teams from the Australia, England, Kenya and United States of America besides India-A (representing Indian Polo Association) and India-B represented by players from Manipur are also taking part in the weeklong competition which is scheduled to conclude on November 29.In the day’s first match, India-B team beat Australia by 7-4 goals. England and United States of America polo teams will be playing tomorrow.
