DIMAPUR — International Day of Yoga (IDY-2024) was celebrated throughout N.F. Railway of Friday by organising yoga sessions at headquarters, divisions and workshops to spread awareness about its importance and effects on human health.
The theme for this year “Yoga for Self and Society” emphasises the duel benefits of yoga practice -- enhancing personal well-being and improving society at large.
An update received here today informed that in NFR Headquarters, the occasion was observed at the Railway Indoor Stadium, Maligaon, where railway officers and staff performed “Asanas” with their families, in the presence of NFR General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava and other senior officials.
“The IDY-2024 was also observed at all five divisions of NFR with participation of thousands of railway employees and their family members. The 21st June is the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere. It symbolises a period of development, growth, and re-established ties to the natural world and oneself,” read the update.
