Over 200 students competed in the Inter-School Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2025 organised by DDTA at MDSC Stadium, Dimapur.

DIMAPUR — The 6th Inter-School Kyorugi and 1st Inter-School Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2025, organised by the Dimapur District Taekwondo Association (DDTA), concluded at MDSC Stadium, Dimapur.
Held on October 17 and 18, the event witnessed participation from more than 200 students representing 20 schools and Taekwondo academies under Dimapur district, according to an update.
The opening ceremony on October 17 featured remarks from Tridibesh M Chowdhury, general secretary of DDTA, and guest of honour Kevin Gongmei, education secretary of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU), who encouraged the participants and emphasised the values of Taekwondo and the importance of promoting the sport.

Participating institutions included Maple Tree School, Hollotoli School, Holy Child School, MGM Higher Secondary School, Lima Aier Higher Secondary School, Dreamworks Taekwondo Academy, Raindrops Academy, St Thomas Higher Secondary School, Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School (Padumpukhuri), Kendriya Vidyalaya (Khatkhati), Great Commission Higher Secondary School, Inaus Dojang, Kuda Taekwondo Club, Yimkongs Taekwondo Club, Dimapur Taekwondo Academy, Dimapur City Taekwondo Club, Indian Tiger, Singrijan Taekwondo Academy, and Taikho Taekwondo Club.
Kendriya Vidyalaya (Khatkhati) emerged as the overall team champion, followed by Hollotoli School and Dreamworks Taekwondo Academy as first and second runners-up, respectively. Pilgrim Higher Secondary School received the Best Discipline Award.
