Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): The annual U-16 Dimapur Inter-School Cricket Tournament organised by the Dimapur District Cricket Association (DDCA) got underway on Monday May 20 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
13 schools from Dimapur are participating in this year’s edition, stated the general secretary of DDCA in a press release.
In the first match, SD Jain HSS won the toss and elected to field first against Christian HSS
CHSS: 70 all out in 19.3 overs.
Jakir Ahmed scored 25 runs for CHSS
Jeetender claimed five wickets for SD Jain HSS while Rohan Giri chipped in with two wickets.
SD Jain HSS: 72 for two in 11 overs
Sujal Prasad scored 52 runs for SD Jain HSS
Ankesh captured the two wickets CHSS
Result: SD Jain HSS won by eight wickets.
In the second match St. Mary HSS won the toss and elected to bat first against Hebron HSS
St. Mary HSS: 121 all out in 25 overs.
Tubhyam Jain, Lal Kishan, and Shahin scored 24, 14, and 12 runs for St. Mary HSS
Hinoto took four wickets for Hebron HSS while Khrievitso and Prakash took two wickets apiece.
Hebron HSS: 40 all out in 13.4 Overs
Machen and Hinoto scored 11 and 5 runs respectively
Himanshu and Tubhyam took three wickets apiece while Huto Achumi chipped in with two wickets
Result: St. Mary HSS won by 81 runs.
