Inter-Department Badminton tournament Kohima edition concludes

Kohima, Oct. 24 (EMN): The first Inter-Departmental Badminton Tournament Kohima edition organised by Inter Department Badminton Club concluded at Nagaland Legislative Assembly multi-purpose hall in Kohima on Oct. 23.

A total of 99 participants representing 22 different departments from Kohima (85 men and 14 women) competed in three categories — men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles, wherein 53 matches were organised during the two-day tournament, which commenced on Oct. 22.

Neiba Kronu, minister for Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Nagaland and, MLA Toyang Chang distributed prizes to the winners.

It was informed that the organisers had donated rackets and bags worth over INR 30,000 to three young badminton players from Kohima district during the tournament.
