Integrated Farm School at Chungliyimti village inaugurated

DIMAPUR — Dr. T Arenmongla, block technology manager of the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tsaru block, Tuensang, inaugurated an Integrated Farm School at Chungliyimti village on January 24.
Chichemba Sangtam was appointed as farm teacher along with 10 other progressive farmers as farm students on the occasion, according to an update.
During the inaugural programme, Arenmongla explained the concept of farm school to the farmers in attendance, and there was also a demonstration of how to prepare nursery beds for rabi crops.
A new food security group (FSG) named “Throzi” was formed and mobilised with 10 members from Chungliyimti village. Also, a self-help group (SHG) was formed with the name “Aketha” from Kiding village.
Seed money of INR 10,000 was provided to both groups through direct benefit transfer (DBT). In total, 16 farmers attended the inaugural programme.
