An amount of INR 148 crore has been collected as taxes and cess on petrol and diesel in Nagaland from 2020-21, updated the minister of state for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameshwar Teli in a written reply in Rajya sabha.

He informed that a total of INR 4,55,069 crore has been collected as taxes and cess on petrol and diesel in 2020-21 in the country, according to a PIB report.

Following are the state-wise collection of sales tax and VAT on all petroleum products based on data from 16 major oil and gas companies during the last five years (the amounts have been rounded off to the nearest crore, hence some amounts are zero).
