Additional Director General of Police, Delhi Police and Special Commissioner, Robin Hibu informed in a social media post that they were trying to identify the girl who has been assaulted, and also the perpetrators for further action.
He stated that the video is not related to the Naga girl suicide case at Jodhpur. 'The sister of the dead girl and police has verified the video; it is not the suicide girl who is in the video,' he confirmed, adding that he had spoken to DCP Jodhpur on the same.
He went on to inform that he had already informed the Gujarat police, Mizoram police and Rajasthan police regarding the case.
Youth Affairs and Sports minister Kiren Rijiju, who is also the Union Minister of State for Ministry of AYUSH, also took to Twitter to clarify that the viral video is not connected to the death of the Naga girl in Jodhpur.
“The viral video of a girl from North-East being brutally raped and tortured by 4 men and 1 woman is not related to the Jodhpur suicide case.
