Dimapur, Nov. 30 (EMN): The district chairman (District 324), Kakoli Chowdhury, inaugurated a sanitary pad disposal machine, an initiative of Inner Wheel Club, Dimapur, on November 28 at Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur.
During the event, Chowdhury talked about the verticals and goals of Inner Wheel, while the president of Inner Wheel Club, Dimapur, Anamika Saha reminded that Inner Wheel is all about rendering free service and fostering friendship.
The club secretary, Shobha Jain, highlighted the projects being completed so far during the tenure 2022-23 with a powerpoint presentation. The activities taken up by the club included projects for the betterment of the society, cleanliness and beautification of Dimapur town, hygiene and medical help to women and children, providing educational aid to needy students, other programmes like rally on account of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav etc.
Inner Wheel Club of Dimapur also donated a wheelchair to a needy person on the occasion.
