Dimapur, June 30 (EMN): The frontline workers combating the challenges posed by the novel coronavirus at various institutional quarantine centres were in for a surprise on Monday, as some thoughtful individuals left them notes of gratitude after completing their quarantine period.

Some individuals had penned down their gratitude for the frontline workers, which was shared by the Nagaland Police on their Twitter account and Facebook page on June 29.

The returnees who had completed their quarantine period left notes of appreciation with messages thanking the frontline workers for their hard work and support during their difficult times.

One of the messages left for them read: "Your humility, kindness and strength are greatly appreciated. You are the real heroes of this country and we value every single effort."

Another note from Ganeshnagar quarantine centre read: "In such a time of chaos and pandemic, keeping your family aside to guide and protect us, your exceptional deeds of which I salute. Your kindness immeasurable making us comfortable and we felt almost like family. Heartfelt thanks to our chief minister for his countless effort in bringing us back home safely and comfortably providing the best. The cooks preparing us healthy and tasty food in such humid season. And those sanitising us keep us cool and fresh all the time."

"As human nature, if any misunderstanding or misbehaviour towards you, I beg forgiveness," it added.

A few of the notes left messages conveying that they would remember the frontline workers in their prayers though they had nothing to give them in return for their support.

The Nagaland Police also took to its social media accounts to thank the "guests" who were in quarantine in the Nagaland Police-run quarantine. It thanked them for their co-operation and patience, waiting for their test results with the hashtag #togetherwecan.
