Infrastructure, school proposal discussed at Pungro SDPDB meeting

The Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting for Pungro was convened at the cultural hall in Pungro on August 16.

DIMAPUR — The Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting for Pungro was convened at the cultural hall in Pungro on Wednesday.

According to a DIPR report, chairman S Kiusumew Yimchunger, advisor for Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guards and Civil Defence, Relief, and Rehabilitation, attended the meeting.

The meeting began with a review of the previous meeting's minutes and the introduction of new members. The construction of a veterinary centre in Khongsa, the expedited commissioning of an office, and the proposal for an Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) at the Khongsa block were all discussed.

Discussions also included infrastructure development, road construction, and the formation of administrative circles to improve the region's amenities.

The meeting concluded with a presentation on the activities of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) and encouragement from EAC Pungro Yitachu Thurr for members to actively work for the community's welfare.
