Mumbai, Sep. 19 (PTI): Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here Wednesday following renewed demand from soaps and shippers industries.
While, refined palmolein slipped owing to sluggish demand from retail buyers.
Linseed oil also went-down due to lower demand from paint and allied industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the non-edible segment, castor seed bold climbed by Rs 55 to Rs 4,665 per 100 kg from Tuesday’s closing level of Rs 4,610 and castor oil commercial rose by Rs 11 to Rs 963 per 10 kg as against Rs 952 yesterday.
However, linseed oil moved down by Rs 10 to Rs 900 per 10 kg as compared to Rs 910.
Moving to edibles section, refined palmolein edged down by Rs 2 to Rs 680 per 10 kg from Rs 682 and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 890 per 10 kg.
