Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland Branch distributes relief to fire victims
DIMAPUR — On the advice of Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland Branch (IRCSNB) chairman, Abeni TCK Lotha and the general secretary, Akhale V Khamo, relief materials including 100 blankets, 10 tarpaulin and 50 hygiene kits were deliver to the fire victims of Burma Camp East Block on April 12.
An update from IRCSNB stated that the colony chairman, Lumdibe Zeliang and the youth president, Mhonthung Lotha and their teams assisted in the relief materials distributions.
The vice chairman of Dimapur Red Cross, Ajay Sethi; honourary secretary, Kamala Kanta Paul’ and colony chairman, Lumdibe Zeliang, have advised the fire victims to be careful during the rebuilding of the colony. They advised affected victim to maintain the required distance for safety reasons and to take extra care while handling fire for any purpose.
It mentioned that more than 600 families comprising 1803 members were affected by the fire. Dimapur Red Cross also donated cash to the daughter of the deceased fire victim, Gulach Saikia, as an expression of solidarity with the family.
