Indian Red Cross Society distributes 1000 free protective items

Kohima, Nov. 27 (EMN): The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Nagaland state organised a state-wide awareness programme on Friday on the theme, “Together we can defeat Covid-19”.
It was launched by Atuolie Mepfhiiuo, chairman High school (Ward 1) at Thikha-Rüleizou in Kohima.
IRCS office bearers comprising managing committee members and volunteers numbering about 15 distributed 1000 face masks, soaps and pamphlets on Covid-19 awareness to street vendors, butchers, traffic personnel on duty and those without face masks till BOC area.
Thehiechulie Louis honourary secretary, IRCS, Kohima branch informed Eastern Mirror that about 800 persons had received the items.
The free washable masks were sponsored by IRCS, Nagaland State Branch; and soaps by Nestle Company with tags of Red Cross.
