Indian President Kovind admitted to hospital after chest discomfort; PM enquires about his health

Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): Indian President Ram Nath Kovind is undergoing check-up at the Army’s Research and Referral hospital in New Delhi after complaining of chest discomfort on Friday morning.

The hospital stated in a medical bulletin that the “President of India visited Army Hospital (R&R) following chest discomfort” on Friday morning and is undergoing routine check-up and under observation, according to a PTI report.

“His condition is stable,” it added.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Bangladesh to attend the celebration of the country’s 50th year of liberation from Pakistan on Saturday, spoke to Kovind’s son to enquire about the health of the president.

“PM Narendra Modi spoke to Rashtrapati Ji’s son. He enquired about the President’s health and prayed for his well-being,” tweeted PMO on Friday.
