Diphu, July 23 (EMN):
The Manja Local Sand and Stone Suppliers’ Association (MLSSSA) has lifted its indefinite strike on sand supply to Dimapur. This was informed through a telephonic conversation by the associations’ secretary, Advin Teron, on Wednesday.

Teron informed that the strike was uplifted in compliance to the directive of the district administration. He added that the indefinite strike was necessitated since the government had imposed restrictions on inter-district movement from July 22 as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19. He, however, stated that the indefinite strike will resume after the lockdown said, Teron.

It may be mentioned that at a press conference on July 20, the Manja Local Sand and Stone Suppliers’ Association had announced an indefinite strike on sand supply to Nagaland due to low rate.
