Indefinite bandh on NH-2 called by Makhan people differed

Kohima, Sep. 24 (EMN): The proposed indefinite bandh called by the Makhan People’s Organisation (MPO) of Senapati district on NH-2, that was cheduled to begin from September 23 midnight has been differed till October 5. Informing this in a press release, the MPO publicity wing, said that the bandh has been differed following the assurance given by the Chief Minister of Manipur Biren Singh, to apprehend and book the culprits who burnt down the houses belonging to the Makhgan villagers on September 17 at 4:30 a.m. On September 17, unidentified miscreants burnt down 18 houses at Makhan bridge reportedly over inter-village land dispute.
