Income tax office holds painting contest as part of SHS in Dimapur

Pukini Lokho presents a prize to one of the winners of the painting competition in Dimapur on October 2.

DIMAPUR — The office of the Joint Commissioner of Income Tax -1 (1), Dimapur, organised a painting competition on Monday as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2023 campaign on the theme 'environment and cleanliness'.

The competition, according to a press release, encouraged artistic expression while reinforcing the values of cleanliness and environmental responsibility.

The painting competition was held under three different age group categories: sub-junior (standard III–IV), junior (standard V–VI), and senior (standard VII–VIII).

The participants, who were the students of the nearby schools, were required to express their creativity on the theme at the on-the-spot contest, demonstrating their dedication to the vision of a green and clean India.

The event began at 10:00 am, and participants were given one hour.

The winners of the competition were Nikini for the senior category, Ningthoui for the category, and Aaron for the sub-junior category.

Prizes to the winners were presented by Pukini Lokho, JCIT, Dimapur. All other competitors also received consolation prizes.
