[dropcap]B[/dropcap]y my conviction I said the god of Mr. Modi, the Prime Minister of India is dead, never risen and will never ever be. The Bible says, there is only One living God Jehovah, besides Him there is none. I believe in this declaration. Yes, idols and images are crafted after gods and goddesses by man, and whoever worships those idols including PM Modi worship man-made images.
What Nagaland BJP has said that I have ‘hurt the sentiment of Hindu community’ is understood, it must be true. I did not question the ‘doctrine’ of PM Modi why he worships Hindu gods or goddesses. It is not my motive to hurt anybody’s sentiment but it is indeed my assertion, within the ambit of the fundamental rights, that what God Jehovah whom I believe is Superior to Hindu gods. I also out rightly rejected the claim of the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industiries Smti. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti (BJP MP from Fatehpur, UP) that the …..’the Christians in India are children of Ram’ as appeared in media on 2.12.14. That was intentional distortion of historical facts with the motive to hoodwink the minorities. I am not from Hindus’ Ram’s race but from Mongoloid race of East Asia.
Why I have to assert and defend my race and my faith is because of the intensive psychological, linguistic and educational invasions on the religious minorities, particularly Christians in India, by Hindus under the protection of BJP Govt. in Delhi. The Human Resources Development(HRD) Ministry headed by Smriti Irani ordered all the Schools with CBSE course to observe Sanskrit Week from 6-13 August 2014. Only AIDMK ministry in Tamil Nadu objected that not only Sanskrit alone is important to people of India but all other languages too are important. Despite, the Ministry went ahead. The Indian Council of Historical Research, supposed to continue with rationality, is now headed by Prof. Y. Sudershan Rao and under whose leadership, the Hindus are claiming to be the superior race backed by PM Modi. Warning: Although Minister Irani remains discreet about the revision, the HRD Ministry seems to be contemplating to revise the curriculum of Schools with, possibly, the theme of Hindu mythology next year. If so, it will have immense impact on our malleable younger generation.Let me quote what the Naga historian Kaka D. Iralu gave a brief write up on Hindu nationalism which appeared on 29.10.2014 in local media. ‘According to Hindutva writers such as Savarkar and Golvalkar, other minority groups like Christians and Muslims are all foreigners in India’s Hindustan. Golvalkar in his book ‘We or Our Nationhood Defined’ wrote (quote )‘The foreign races in Hindustan must either adopt the Hindu culture and language, must learn to respect and hold in reverence the Hindu religion, must entertain no ideas but those of glorification of the Hindu race and culture…..or may stay in the country wholly subordinated to the Hindu nation, claiming nothing, deserving no privileges, far less any preferential treatment-not even citizen rights.’ (unquote). Source: ‘India: The Grand Experiment’ by Vishal Mangalwadi page 285). Then Kaka added ‘their goal is cultural imposition of Hindu culture on the rest of Indian citizens.’
With the above agenda, the worst is the persecution of Christians by Hindu fundamentalists in India under the aegis of RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, etc. as noted by Nagaland Christian leaders in their letter to PM Modi during his visit to Nagaland. The highlights of the letter was succinctly published in local papers on 4.12.14 and I am not required to repeat. It is left to those who defend the said agenda to refute or justify. Only the latest instance of persecution of Catholic School authorities in Bastar area in Chattisgarh by VHP members who forced to put up Hindu goddess Saraswati’s picture in Catholic Schools is how Hindu culture incursion is inflicted on other minorities.
In India, BJP is the party that always plays two games simultaneously. One is politics and the other is religion. BJP promotes Hinduism through politics and promotes politics through religion as read by me over the years. This is the reality of how BJP is different from other political parties. This is the reason why other political parties called themselves secular.
The Nagaland BJP has the liberty to praise and defend RSS which is the most potent hierarchical cornerstone, of all, of BJP. I suppose RSS is the regular launching pad which propels most of the prominent BJP leaders. Being not a historical student during college days, I have less gut to have duel on history. Yet, RSS was once a banned organisation. In his zeal for Hinduism and filled with the spirit of RSS, Nathuram Godse assassinated the father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. The then Union Home Minister Sardar Patel then ordered for ban of the organisation which is now called ‘cultural public organisation’ ‘to keep the spirit of patriotism alive.’
In the sight of both God and man, I confessed that I am the most wretched sinner of all. I used to imagine always, supposing if my accumulated sins are put on the scale for weighing in comparison with others’, definitely mine would be the heaviest. I never considered those Naga Christians who joined BJP to be nominal Christians not to speak of inferior Nagas. In matters of faith in Jesus and patriotism, I am the least as I speak without sarcasm.
Admittedly, I have not done anything worth recording in my life for my Saviour Jesus Christ. Without an iota of cognizable contribution towards humanity for the sake of His name, how would I deserve to be called ‘Christian fundamentalist’? If this is the genuine intention of Nagaland BJP to confer the nomenclature upon me, I am pleased.
I am here neither to encourage anyone nor to discourage any aspirant from joining BJP. It is the constitutional liberty of any person to join or not to join. Do not take it to be a cue, but as for me, I may not like to have the experience from ‘within’ at the moment for the principal reason that I cannot morally support a political party decorated with communal credentials. Secondly, at the moment I prefer remaining united with those persecuted fellow Christians in the great country, India, as long as I can though far lees a crusader for Christ Jesus. Regret to decline your kind invitation.
