Hello folks,
I . believe that life has so much to give if only we cared to give a little thought      to the most minuscule of joys (which we’d find so much of) only if we’d stop looking at the looming discomforts and discontents.
So here I am, to share with you the simplest joys in my life as I have experienced some time in my life and those that I take as I face each day, at a time.

Mother of Sorts

May, the month when Mother’s are celebrated; the week that was, did just that on 8th May. To be honoured, are mothers. Nurturing, gentle, selfless, bearing unconditional love for her own; protective; tirelessly longsuffering; silently leading, is what she is defined to do and be. Such is the spirit and character that she was moulded into, by loving hands of her Maker Every woman is almost always a mother because that’s what she was created to be. Made to bring life to the world in some way. Though perhaps not necessarily in the expected biological role, she plays her part right.
She encourages, feeds hearts and tummy’s, nurtures dreams and heals hurts, she creates beauty in her surroundings and in those she loves. The list extends.

My story of appreciation today is about the astonishing mother- attribute established in those of God’s creations, which doubly contend the case.
A late meal break at a Road-side Restaurant with an out-door lay-out; rid me of all journey exhaustions with what I beheld. On the wide expanse of lawn I could see a parade of fluffy baby ducklings waddling in a line, a habitual sight as they tow behind mother.

What was nonconforming however, was that the leader was a ‘Cluck – Clucking’ Mother Hen and not a Duck! She gathered them together and soon had them huddled quacking in contented comfort under her wings as evening set in, while she reassuringly clucked at them. What led to this take on I do not know, but throughout the rest of my journey I kept going back in my mind taking comfort in this complete demonstrative incredulity.
Déjà vu. That’s what it was.  Unmistakingly the protective instinct of a mother in every living being it is. Many years ago, did I get to see similar acts of love extended by one of our very own.  A pet dog of ours almost immediately and naturally took under her wing an orphaned baby deer that had been brought home, taking over duties of a nursing mother toward her helpless child. So effortlessly did she take control of the situation, that it lightened a load of responsibility off of us humans in tending to a creature of the wild.
Focusing on today’s highlight, I couldn’t miss out on the instance of one of our very young mother Apso’s who adopted as her own, an abandoned kitten, though it stands pale against the great story on Discovery about the baby Hippopotamus mothered by a Tortoise.
Without a deliberation of the ‘how’s’  and ‘why’s’ ; pro’s against con’s discarded; weighed rationality cast aside, comes foremost every mother’s God-given instinct of care and love.
Blessed be those that have been able to receive of this tender-hearted fortune and blessed are they that  are made up of this disposition –  the heart of a Mother!
