In Appreciation…….. of the simple pleasures of life…

Hello folks,

I believe that life has so much to give if only we cared to give a little thought to the most minuscule of joys (which we’d find so much of) only if we’d stop looking at the looming discomforts and discontents.
So here I am, to share with you the simplest joys in my life as I have experienced some time in my life and those that I take as I face each day, at a time.

Love me Love my Goat
Known to be ‘Man’s best friend’, many a dog has lived up to this adage and many a human its moment favourably experienced.
I write about something that scores would utterly be oblivious of and insensible to. Numb and anesthetized, inert and inured to because of an innate apathetic attitude, or for being unaware and unacquainted of this decency, this propriety and affability present in creatures, for the most part, domesticated ones.These mortal life forms are set apart with in-built presentiments and instincts that know and recognize kindheartedness identifying fully with its reaction and response. Wordless and unspoken remains the means of communiqué and yet a connect is made, understood, and an unstated bonding hits off between beast and man.
My uncomplicated, idyllic observation about the compatible congruent liaison between the two comes from the putting- oneself- in- another’s- shoes, kind of considerate thoughtfulness on the part of one, against the prerequisite need of companionship and sense of belonging of the other.
Being party to the setting and state of circumstances as has been cited, often have I speculated and reflected, wondering whether the concentration of attention, bequeathed upon the recipient of our affections and fondness, (as here, our cherished and prized pet animals), in fact enjoyed ? Do they otherwise go along to indulge and humour our fancies? If you settled for the latter, I would grant them a ‘one-up’ on profound insightful sensitivity.
Today’s occasion of simple pleasure which I celebrate is a very brief momentary but gleeful merriment that I was able to share with a complete stranger while whizzing past along the highway.
My mind was rapt, gripped in the captivating surroundings, considering myself prosperously privileged to be in the midst of such breath-taking loveliness.
Amidst this picturesque charm, I suddenly spot a little shack outside which a woman was seated with her young goat. My eyes couldn’t miss this little goat wearing a blue- grey, some-what loose t-shirt, fitted, sleeves and all. Keyed up at this adorable engagement, I couldn’t peel my eyes away. It was then that I caught the most winning spectacle. This kindly person was unhooking a safety pin from her own loose blouse to pin up that some-what loosely fitted t-shirt of her young goat.
I couldn’t stop myself from pointing at her with an exchange of knowing smiles, till she threw her head back with a burst of laughter and I reciprocated because I guess we knew what we both understood.
