Don’t you quit

Hello folks,
I  believe that life has so much to give if only we cared to give a little thought      to the most minuscule of joys (which we’d find so much of) only if we’d stop looking at the looming discomforts and discontents.
So here I am, to share with you the simplest joys in my life as I have experienced some time in my life and those that I take as I face each day, at a time. 

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
Where he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Words that hit me at an age most impressionable; the indentation so entrenched in the subconscious, remains now rooted and unshakeable in me.
Ever since, have I been spurred on every uphill phase in life which has had me tenaciously take it on. Fighting tooth and nail every challenging bend till I’ve given it my all leaves in me a gratification of accomplished triumph which in my term spells success.
Ascertained to strive with strict dogged determined step……” Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal………” I am now in undoubted absolute appreciation of that which has made me- “Press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me….Philippians 3: 12-17
