Imtinaro wins NEZCC young artiste award

La. Ganesan giving away the NEZCC young talented artiste award for the year 2021-2022 to Imtinaro T Longkumer in Guwahati on March 24.

DIMAPUR — Imtinaro T Longkumer of Hill Theatre Nagaland was conferred the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) young talented artiste award for the year 2021-2022 in the field of theatre along with other recipients from Northeastern states.

The award was given away by Nagaland Governor, La. Ganesan, during a ceremony was held on March 24 at NEZCC Shilpgram in Guwahati, Assam, stated an update from Hill Theatre.

Imtinaro did her BA from SD Jain Girls College, Dimapur, and MA from USTM, Ri-Bhoi in Meghalaya.

She had performed in the play ‘Don’t women no cry’ and ‘Jina Etiben,’ both directed by Bendang Walling. She had also performed in different states of India during state and national theatrical festival organised by National School of Drama.

Besides, she had acted in feature films ‘The curiosity shop,’ directed by Shankar Barua in 2016 as well as in short films/ documentary namely ‘Senmang,’ directed by Bendang Walling in 2021 and ‘Way back home,’ directed by Sandeep in 2023.

Imtinaro also acted in a web series titled ‘Dreams and chaos,’ directed by Bendang Walling and also won the best web series at Kashi Indian International Film Festival.
