Meanwhile, Agriculture minister and local MLA Md Abdul Nasir today cleared that the state Government has to start expansion work for the Imphal-Moreh road section from February this year.
“The amount for the work has already been earmarked,” the agriculture minister told media persons in his official chamber here.
He claimed that the ongoing obstruction on Imphal-Moreh road has been instigated by some aspiring candidates for the coming state assembly election.
The minister said people should not support the strike and appealed to the bandh enforcers to suspend it.
“Indulging in anti-social activities must be stopped. The people should not be misguided,” Nasir said.
