Impact Club to organise Open Penalty Shootout Tournament

Kohima: The Impact Club will be organising its 1st Open Penalty Shootout Tournament at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on April 22 from 9 am onwards.

The champion team will be awarded INR 60,000 while runner-up will get INR 30,000.

The best goal keeper will also pocket INR 5000. So far, this is reported to be the highest prize money for a penalty shootout tournament that has been organised in the state.

An udpate informed that this tournament has been organised to encourage youngsters to participate in positive and productive events where they can also sharpen their skills and develop competitive spirit of sportsmanship.

Impact Club comprises a group of like-minded friends from different professions, with a vision of bringing positive changes to the society and community through meaningful events and endeavours.

“One area of concern is to reach out to the remote areas of the state and impact lives through means of sports, education and support,” Impact Club stated.

The registration fee is INR 3000 per team and is open to any interested groups.
