Dimapur, Mach 26 (EMN): Immanuel College has signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dimapur Municipal Council on March 26.
The MOU was signed by DMC Administrator Moa Sangtam and college’s Principal Sharatchandra Singh in the presence of Eco Club convenor, assistant professor Temsutola, DMC representatives, faculty members and students. This was informed by the college authority on Monday.
Immanuel College became the first secular college to collaborate with the DMC for cleanliness and beautification of the city by adopting the road from DC court junction to Fellowship Colony junction, the press release stated.
On the same day, the Eco Club of the college in collaboration with DMC organised a cleanliness drive programme at college auditorium hall.
It was said that the objective of the programme was to increase public support and cooperation towards improving the city living environment and the importance of community cooperation for a cleaner and better Dimapur.
The launching programme was followed by a cleanliness drive on the adopted road by the students.
