DIMAPUR — Two-day Immanuel College Myriad Fest, Vol.4.0 kicked off on February 6 on the theme ‘Semper ad Meliora’ at the college premises, Dimapur.
Seyiekhrietuo Solo, SDO (Civil) Seithekema, the special guest of the event, in his address, stressed the importance of being good human beings, saying values should guide both personal and professional life.
He encouraged students to acquire skills beyond textbooks, highlighting the need for practical learning and adaptability.
Emphasising kindness and civic sense, Solo said good deeds may go unnoticed but have a ripple effect.

He pointed out challenges like lack of good leaders, educated people, compassion, and civic sense. Solo urged students to become responsible leaders with integrity and competence. He further encouraged them to give their best and shape a better tomorrow.
Advising on peer influence, he said to choose friends wisely as they shape character and life choices.
The highlight of day one was the crowning of Miss and Mr Myriad. After the three competitive rounds, the panellists declared Lino T Aye and Idohingbo Haining as Miss and Mr. Myriad.
Day one also featured an amalgamation of talents and skills including indigenous food competition, art competition, voice of myriad, poetry slam and a special appearance from Moko Koza.
