Immanuel College bids farewell to outgoing students
DIMAPUR — Immanuel College in Dimapur organised a farewell programme for the outgoing undergraduates and postgraduates batch of 2024 on Friday at the college auditorium.
The vice principal of the college, Dr. T Imchanochetla Changkija, exhorted the students by emphasising that education is more about attitude, action, language, and social behaviour with others than about having a certificate. She added that those attributes are the key to progress in life, which the students should imbibe as they embark on their new journey, stated an update from the college.
Hinting on the prevailing crisis of moral issue, violence, mistrust etc., she challenged the students to take up the responsibilities by utilising their educational weapons to bring about changes in the society.
Also on the occasion, the chairman of Immanuel College, Dr. Loso Chalai, reminded the need to reflect God’s image in their lives by being a child of God, which according to him is the greatest status one could hold. He also motivated the students to work hard and strive for knowledge.
He further advised them to walk humbly with God at all times and concluded with a special prayer for the outgoing students.
Nalei Konyak delivered a farewell speech on behalf of the juniors, while Yeanglem Konyak, Sida, Christina, Imnawapang Longkumer, and Angnyei Talem Konyak spoke on behalf of the outgoing students and paid their tribute to the college.
The event saw various performances such as dance, solo, duet, play etc.
