[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he NPF Youth Wing welcome the sagacious decision of Hon’ble governor for summoning the special assembly session to settle the present crisis and strongly hope that our seasoned and experience Governor well definitely do justice as per the constitution for the welfare of the younger generation. the NPF Youth Wing also declared that the “Hon’ble Governor had done justice and will do justice till justice delivered”.While welcoming the sagacious decision of Hon’ble governor the NPF Youth Wing is compel to issue this rejoinder on the allegations made by Mr. Imkong L. Imchen against the Hon’ble Chief Minister on various issues.
1. The hon’ble Chief Minster Mr. T. R. Zeliang has provided stable government during the past seven months and there was no crisis at all as alleged by Mr. Imkong. In a democratic form of government, the Council of Ministers is collectively responsible to run the affairs of the government and as such the question of syndicate does not arise.
2. The disqualification of the three MLAs is purely constitutional matter which has got nothing to do with the relationship between NPF and BJP. By the way, no BJP MLAs were disqualified. The three MLAs who were disqualified were original NCP MLAs at that particular point of time when the matter came up to the Hon’ble Speaker’s table for decision as they were elected from NCP ticket. It is also a fact that, it is none other than the NCP party who has filed the disqualification petition as such; the matter is within the NCP party. Nevertheless, the matter is now landed up in the Supreme Court of India so it will be advisable if the Sovima campers patiently wait for the final judgment and pass comment only after the case is concluded.
3. The peace process is one of the topmost agenda of the NPF party as well as the present government. In his presidential speech, Hon’ble President Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu categorically stated that quote-“ The primary objective of our party set out by the founding fathers is to restore peace in the land and to work to assist in any possible manner on any approach for peaceful solution to the Indo-Naga Political problem. We have been doing our best to facilitate any move towards solution to the Naga Political problem” unquote. Since Mr. Imkong did not attend the party convention held at IG Stadium on 26th Nov. 2014, he will not be aware of what the president has stated so if he wants to know more he may visit NPF office and get a copy of the President speech and go through it. There is no basis to say that the ongoing peace process has been totally sidelined. Even if Mr. Imkong and his group does not support the peace process, the present government and the NPF party will continue to play its role till honorable solution to the Naga Political issue is work out.
4. To say that the present CM has created posts of advisers and chairman of departments that does not exist is totally false. The citizens of Nagaland cannot be fooled by such allegations. Whatever be the contention of Mr. Imkong, it is absolutely the prerogative of the Chief Minister to assign anyone in whatever status that he deems fit. Since he did not get any assignment in this present ministry he has every reason to crumble but he should not be so jealous of his friends and colleagues who got certain status.
5. The exploration and extraction of crude oil particularly in Champang area of Wokha district was a long felt need of the people especially the real land owners. As a matter of fact, the govt. held consultations after consultations at various levels including the land owners and the Naga Civil Societies (NGOs) and ultimately detail modalities was prepared and finalized. Thereafter, global tender was floated and the most qualified one from amongst the various companies was selected to invest in Nagaland. However, some politically motivated individuals and groups went on opposing the launching program which has compelled the govt. to issue prohibitory order with an intention to prevent any untoward incident. Thank God, Mr. Imkong is out of the present ministry or else he would have suggested sterner action than imposing 144 CrPC as he has no human feeling at all.
6. If there are such kickbacks in the allocation of oil contracts, the youth wing also demand thorough inquiry by any competent authority. As far as the black money issue is concern, the hon’ble CM has already made his stand clear and went to the extent of writing even to the RBI Governor which is supposed to be the highest authority so far as transaction of money whether it be black or white money is concern. The youth wing also demands that the State Vigilance/NIA/CBI should investigate from where the Sovima campers have printed the false documents of the black money transaction receipt.
7. The DAN alliance is functioning normally and effectively but we cannot blame Mr. Imkong for his ignorance because he has not been given any assignment in this present dispensation therefore he is not aware of what the DAN alliance have been doing all through this seven months. Whether it is a pre-poll alliance or post poll alliance all those political parties who are now a part of the NPF-led-DAN-III govt. are all legitimate partner of DAN alliance. The present govt. does not require permission from Mr. Imkong as to who should be a part of DAN and who should not be.
8. Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. T. R. Zelaing cannot be labeled as a weak leader. He is a season politician who has been consecutively elected to the house of the people five times and he was also one time Rajya Sabha MP. By nature, he is a very mild and liberal man but it does not mean that he is weak. If we are to measure strong leadership by means of those characters who shouts loudly and create pandemonium everywhere are strong leaders than Mr. Imkong should be the chief ministerial candidate of sovima campers because Mr. G. Kaito is no match to Mr. Imkong as far as shouting is concern. Hon’ble president Dr. Shurhozelie has never function in a dictatorial and autocratic manner. He has only defended the party constitution. Infact, it was because of his right decision at the right time, the party image was restored. As such, you all should appreciate him instead of questioning his decision.
9. As the head of the State the Hon’ble CM is interested to see that developmental works takes place not only on the paper but even on the ground. His utmost desire is that the goods must be delivered to the public. Therefore, his intervention was not with any ulterior motive but to ensure that the constituency/district he represents should show exemplary to the other districts as to how fund allocated are utilized. Infact, all the MLAs should emulate from our CM and personally supervise the developmental activities instead of simply distributing the work orders .
10. The hon’ble CM has only appeal to all the elected members to vote according to their free will and conscience because there is an apprehension that the sovima campers might have already created some fear psychosis to the hon’ble MLAs who are held hostage at sovima camp for no fault of theirs. However, the youth wing feels that, many of the upcoming hon’ble MLAs who are now at sovima camp are also brave enough and for which they will never stoop down so low to succumb to the pressure of their seniors. The Whip issued by the Hon’ble Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. K. Paseyie is very much legal and he is the only recognized whip in the eyes of law. Therefore those who defy the whip will face disqualification as per the 10th Schedule of the Indian constitution.
11. The Hon’be CM and the hon’ble President has been continuously appealing to the dissident group to come back and join the original party and the govt. but the sovima group is spitting only venom against the CM and the President. However, the door of NPF central office Kohima is still wide open and you all are welcome any moment if you repent.
12. At least, we have agreed on one point, i.e. welcoming the appeal made by the Naga civil societies for reconciliation. Yes we must reconcile so as to take our people forward but you have to first admit your mistake, apologized and give an undertaking that you and your group will not create any more problems within the party and the govt.. Further you should also apologize to the citizens of Nagaland that you will not take them for ride anymore.

LONG LIVE NPF.
