Kohima, Nov. 2 (EMN): In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 50th edition of Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF)-Delhi Virtual Fair Autumn 2020 will be held virtually from November 4 to the 6th.

This fair is organised twice -- spring and autumn -- in a year by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, an organisation responsible for promotion of export of handicrafts.

During a virtual press preview meet on Monday, chairman of EPCH, Ravi Passi, informed that there are over 1500 exhibitors who will be exhibiting as much as two thousand products. He added that they would do both the virtual as well as physical show.

Director General of EPCH, Rakesh Kumar said that the 'fair is the world’s largest'. He added that the fair was conducted virtually for the first time in the 49th edition held from July 13 to 18, 2020, due to the coronavirus situation. He claimed that the first virtual show was also the largest virtual show so far. Normally, over 3000 exhibitors turn up for the fair in the previous years, he added.

He further informed that the exhibitors would present a variety of collections in the form of fashion, textiles, handicrafts, lifestyles etc. The organiser also added that the demands for products or buyers had gone up from August to October.
