Dimapur, Aug. 27 (EMN): ICFAI University Nagaland successfully conducted online examinations for the final year students of under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) as per UGC guidelines from August 17 to the 26th.

Around 300 students appeared for the online examinations from different parts of Nagaland and neighbouring states, an update from the university registrar K Kuotsu stated on Wednesday.

Kuotsu stated that ICFAI University Nagaland could make it possible, while some of the ‘highly reputed higher educational institutions of mainland equipped with good internet connectivity found it difficult to conduct online exam.’ He added that it was a challenge to conduct the online examinations.

It stated that its system administrator Kamal had provided ‘enduring technological support,’ while the entire examinations was supervised by the deputy controller of examinations Dr. VT Vasagan.

It also stated that despite the pandemic situation and poor network connectivity, students have taken up their exams seriously while the invigilation was done by the respective course in-charge through Google meet. The university has credited its faculty and staff for the successful conduct of the online exams and added that a second chance would be given to those few students who have missed out the first attempt.

Once the supplementary exams are completed by September 14, the results would be declared on or before September 30, it informed.

Meanwhile, it informed that online classes for odd semesters for both UG and PG including first year students have commenced from August 24.
