Noklak, April 30 (EMN): Indian Council of Agriculture (ICAR), Dimapur, in collaboration with Noklak Police provided a total of 190 piglets, medicines, vaccines and feed free of cost in two batches along with two sessions of training to the farmers and entrepreneurs of Noklak district.
The special guest and superintendent of police, Noklak, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, stated that the initiative would help in empowerment of society and guide the educated youth towards entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency. She urged the youth to choose a path of hard work instead of drugs and other intoxicants.
Dr. Mahak and Dr. Tali were the resource persons of the training session. They have taught the participants on making of piglet feeds, their sheds, vaccination, breeding, safety precautions, scientific methodologies, health and hygiene etc.
A total of 66 farmers from 20 villages were benefitted.
