Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): ICAR- NRC on Mithun, Medziphema, began the fortnight-long programme of Swachhta Pakhwada from December 16 to the 31st at its premises with the participation of all the staff members.
An update from ICAR-NRC on Mithun stated that the programme started with the reading of Swachhata pledge by the participants in unison led by the director in-charge Dr. Stephen Sapuni Hanah.
Activities on day one included basic housekeeping drives and creating awareness and self preparedness against Covid-19 pandemic presented by Dr. Vivek Joshi, scientist, medicine and health.
It stated that the programme would continue till December end by carrying out various cleanliness activities in and around the institute. Dr. Kobu Khate, CTO and nodal officer of Swachh Bharat Mission, coordinated the programme.
