Dimapur, Nov. 21 (EMN): For the first time in the history of Nagaland, the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) is conducting the Chartered Accountancy (CA) examination beginning from November 21 to December 14 at Dimapur Government College in Oriental Colony.
ICAI has appointed a renowned Dimapur-based chartered accountant Ajit Jain as the coordinator-cum-observer for conduct of the examination. The institute expressed gratitude to Ajit for his untiring efforts to bring the examination centre in Dimapur.
It stated that Ajit left no stone unturned to bring the examination centre to Dimapur, which would directly benefit the students of Nagaland who otherwise had to go to other cities for the examinations. It commended Ajit for bringing the examination centre to Dimapur particularly during this difficult time of pandemic whereby the students could now write their examinations from the comfort of their home town.
Meanwhile, Ajit stated that the assignment was a huge responsibility and felt honoured to get an opportunity to serve the institute. He also stated that students were greatly relieved to know about the examination centre in Dimapur.
It may be mentioned here that the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament namely the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (No. 38 of 1949) for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountants in India.
Ajit further informed that the examinations are being conducted by strictly complying with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), government of India, on social distancing for containment of Covid-19 in the country. He stated that the examination centre would implement adequate social distancing measures to ensure health safety of the students. He added that adequate measures are being taken for the safety of all without compromising the high standards, sanctity, and fairness in the conduct of the examination.
