Ibobi inaugurates Surgeons’ conference in Imphal

Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh on Saturday said that government is trying to pass a bill to enact a law in the State to prevent unwanted incident against the doctors by the patient party.
This was stated by the Chief Minister while inaugurating a two day 20th Annual Conference of the Associations of Surgeons of India(ASI) Manipur State Chapter – ASIMANICON 2015 under the theme “Early Diagnosis and Treatment” at the Jubilee Hall of RIMS, Imphal today.Parliamentary Secretary Victor Keishing speaking as a guest of honour in the function appealed the doctors to help the government in bringing peace and harmony in the state.
President Prof S Rajendra Singh of ASI Manipur State Chapter who presided over the function drew the attention of the state government to create the infrastructure for the organ transplant facility in the state. KYKL cadre arrested:Troops of the 45 Assam Rifles based on specific intelligence regarding movement of a UG cadre, established a vehicle check post in general area Nongda and apprehended one Kanglei Yayol Kanna Lup(KYKL) cadre on Friday,says PRO Assam Rifles in a press release. The apprehendee was identified as No 3517, Batch No 2008, Mutum Naoren(23) son of Lukhoi, a resident of Nongren village under Lamlai police station. He revealed that he had joined the group in 2008. Individual underwent training in Bangladesh for 70 days and is presently involved in UG activities under SS Sgt Laisram Naobi of KYKL,the release added. The apprehendee has been handed over to the Lamlai Police Station.
