Ibobi appeals against call for bandhs and blockades

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]anipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today appealed not to go for bandh or blockade before discussing the demands or the related issues with the government.
The bandh and blockades has been affecting the lives of general public in the state.Those who resides in the interior are the worse sufferer, he felt. Chief Minister Ibobi shares his feeling during the formal inauguration function of the Court of District and Session Judge complex in Manipur’s Senapati district ehadquarters,60 km north of Imphal today.Speaking on the occasion he also informed that the government is taking up steps to deliver justice at the doorsteps.He hope that the newly inaugurated district court will give benefits to the people of Senapati district.
Karong Senapati Town Committee has also also submitted a memorandum to the visiting Chief Minister O I bobi Singh, urging him to take up steps to reorganize the Senapati district headquarters by shift Senapati district police station to the SP’s office and SP’s office to the old secretariat complex site so that the existing police station site could be converted into a parking lot etc.They also urged the government to install 10MVA transformer at Karong power sub-station near the district headquarter besides upgrading Karong sports complex by dismantling poor structures.The Chief Justice Lakshmikant Mahapatra of High Court of Manipur who presided over the day’s inaugural function along while the state Public Works minister Dr Kh Ratankumar, Justice N Kotiswar and Advocate General Th Ibohal attended the function as guests of honour.
All of them also spoke on the occasion which was also attended by opposition MLAs Alexander Pou of Karong assembly constituency and L Dikho of Mao assembly constituency both under Senapati district.
The Court of District and Session Judge Complex in Senapati district becomes the first court complex in the five hill districts and third in the state after Thoubal and Bishnupur district court complexes.
