IAS scholarship exam announced for various districts

Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): The deputy commissioners of Mokokchung, Peren and Mon districts have announced the details about IAS scholarship examination to be conducted under Chief Minister Corpus Fund 2019-2020 in partnership with Alternative Learning System (ALS) New Delhi for aspiring civil servants from Nagaland. An update from DIPR informed that the examination will be held for these districts from 11 am to 1 pm on October 12 and the result will be announced on October 16, 2019. Mokokchung: Exam centre and form details Application forms have been made available since October 3 at the Establishment Branch, DC office, Mokokchung and the last date for receipt of forms is October 10. Applicants can submit forms and collect hall tickets at ASL, IAS Mokokchung Centre, above Popular Bakery, Arkong ward, Mokokchung. Examination will be conducted at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung. Peren: Exam centre and form details Aspiring students can collect application forms between October 3 and 10th from EAC Peren HQ, office of DC Peren and the last date for receipt of forms is October 10. Applicants can submit forms and collect hall tickets at the same office (EAC Peren HQ). Examination will be conducted at GHSS Jalukie. Mon: Exam centre and form details Candidates can collect application forms between October 3 and 10th in the office chamber of EAC Mon, Chubasanen Ozukum (1st Floor DC office) and the last date for receipt of forms is October 10. Aspiring students can submit forms and collect hall tickets at the same office. Examination will be conducted at Government Higher Secondary School ‘A’, Mon (Near local ground, Mon town). Pattern of exam The examination will be based on UPSC Civil Service examination pattern with MCQ questions (100 questions of 2 marks each) and will have a negative marking of 0.33 marks for every wrong answer. Candidates should bring only ‘black ball pen’ to the exam centre to fill up the OMR answer sheet, it informed. Criteria and duration Candidates must be 20 years and above on or before August 1 2019 and the documents required are: Aadhaar/passport/voters ID card, ST certificate, marksheet and pass certificate of class 12 and above, two passport size photographs, and HSLC admit card/ mark sheet or birth certificate. The update also informed that the duration of course will be one year starting from October 2019 21 at any of the six ALS authority learning centres in Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokhung, Zunheboto, Wokha and Mon. Live transmissions of classes being conducted in ALS Delhi would be given and timing of class is 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday with weekly current affairs every Saturday.
