I am a naga, and I have a dream:
Of our Land peopled by a united tribe,
Pledged to live as Heavens prescribe;
And love & kindness for all subscribe.
I am a naga, and I have a dream:
Of our land free from unabated corruption,
That has eroded values in every institution,
And bred dishonest men in our generation.
I am a naga, and I have a dream:
Of our leaders- strong, honest and wise;
Who, against injustices and abuse, rise
To deliver a befitting rod sans prejudice.
I am a naga, and I have a dream:
Of our churches overflowing with praises;
Of preachers performing Act that amazes,
And saving souls with inspired messages.
I am a naga, and I have a dream:
Of our NPGs working for t’e common good;
United for the sake of our forebears’ blood,
That’d flowed in our Land in an angry flood.
I am a naga, and I have a dream:
Of our lives free from t’e multi-tax burden,
That feeds the vanity of our own brethren,
And even vexes the future of our children.
I am a naga, and I have a dream:
To not only dream, but realize it too, someday,
Unhindered by what my adversaries might say.
For I was born to live life free, my humble way!
