KOHIMA, AUGUST 10

Hundreds of Christian believers partaking in the four-day word explosion Bible camp held under the theme ‘Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world’ (1 John 4:4) which started on August 8 at Naga Shisha Hoho prayer Centre Prüzie Kohima. In the practical and interactive session Rev Neivotso spoke on ‘work and gifts of the holy spirit’ on Saturday while in the second session Mhonchumo S Lotha spoke on the topic ‘Heaven and hell’ and the last session was taken by Rev Dr Vevo Phesao on ‘Prayer and fasting’. In the evening gospel service Rev Vevozo Khamo preached on the topic ‘Salvation’.
Around 900 people mostly young people from the different colonies and churches attended the camp and about 100 strong prayer warriors praying round the clock and 25 counselors are available for the campers.
Yesterday, Reverend Zotuo Kiewhuo senior pastor Kononia Baptist church and principal KBC spoke on the topic ‘Fruits of the Holy Spirit’ in the evening gospel service.
He preached based from the Bible Gal. 5:22&23 and shared about the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit namely love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. He said any ministry missing these qualities is not from the Holy Spirit.
Kiewhuo advised the gathering to have the concerning power and not to be deceived by the false spirit as it has different spirits like Holy Spirit, human spirit and worldly spirit (Satan). He encouraged the congregation to be spiritually matured and build a close relationship with God.
Earlier speakers, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao spoke on “the word of God” and Mhonchumo S Lotha spoke on ‘faith’.
On Sunday, the last day of the camp, Mhonchumo S Lotha will be speaking on ‘Believers’ authority’ in the devotional service at 11 am. Rev Neivotso will speak on ‘Victorious in Christian life’, while Rev Shan Kikon would speak on ‘Praise and worship’ and ‘grace’ respectively in the second session and evening gospel service at 6 pm.
