Chief Engineer of PHED Nagaland, Er. Kevisekho Kruse while expressing that human resources is the best resources for all aspects of development to take today said development starts from the hearts and mind of the people.Addressing the 50th sports anniversary of Thevomia Youth Organisation (TYO) Khonoma at Terhotsiese, Khonoma Community Hall on Wednesday as the chief guest, Er. Kruse said in order to have better development in all spheres of life, human resources development must be the priority for any society.
Expressing that nothing is impossible, he said maintained that one has to think big in order to achieve it. He said that any problem or hindrance in achieving our thoughts should be taken as an opportunity to take up the challenges ahead.
“We are living far below our potentials,” he said adding that one should not have the negative thoughts but be positive to take up challenges in any field.
“It is within oneself to achieve higher goals,” he said while encouraging TYO Khonoma to take aim participating in higher arenas and also try to identify their own potentials.
The Chief Engineer also exhorted the youngsters to learn to manage time schedules for their day to day activities.
Earlier, Er. Kruse also unveiled the jubilee monolith erected at Phetsukiku while his wife and president Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho, Salhoutuonuo Kruse released the jubilee souvenir on the occasion.
The programme led by convenor organising committee Nisavi Hieme commenced with pastor of Ministers’ Hill Baptist Church Kohima Nikerüsie Punyü saying the invocation. President Khonoma Thevoma Union Dr. R. Zinyü tendered the welcome address while president TYO Khonoma extended jubilee greetings and Megokgolie Pier and Abi Yalie delivered short speeches. Member organizing committee Dr Kedozeto Punyü tendered the vote of thanks.
The celebration was marked special numbers from the women group and youth bodies, traditional games and jubilee feast.
