The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination 2026 commences in Nagaland.

KOHIMA — The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2026, conducted by Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), commenced on Thursday across the state.
A total of 16,096 students, including compartmental candidates, appeared for the HSSLC examination across 68 examination centres in the state.
Of the total, 11,824 students are from Arts, 1,181 from Commerce, and 3,091 from the Science stream. The examination is being conducted from 9 am to 12 pm.
The exam will conclude on March 9, as per the exam routine notified by NBSE.
Secretary and Chairperson (Additional Charge), NBSE, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe updated that the first day of HSSLC Examination and Class XI Promotion Examination 2026 was conducted smoothly across the state. “
There was no bad report of anything. Tomorrow, the HSLC examination starts with Social Sciences as the first subject,” he said.
A total of 23,504 students, including 739 compartmental candidates, will be appearing for the HSLC examination this year across 98 examination centres in the state scheduled to begin on February 13.
