Dimapur, Oct. 9 (EMN): The government has approved more than 700 beneficiaries who shall now be allotted “dwelling units” as part of the Basic Services to Urban Poor (BSUP) project. The government bulletin DIPR gave on Tuesday updates about the development. The last date to completion necessary formalities to receive allotment of the “dwelling units” from the BSUP relocation at K Badze has been extended to October 31, the updates stated. The allotment order for the dwelling units shall initially be issued only to beneficiaries whose names have been included in the list of 720 beneficiaries duly approved by the government in an intimation dated 31/7/2015, a copy of which is said to have been displayed at the directorate of Municipal Affairs, below the AG’s office, in Kohima. A copy of the list of 720 approved beneficiaries is being forwarded to all the wards/colony Panchayats for wide publicity and information for the selected beneficiaries from the area. The beneficiaries are directed to deposit the beneficiary share of INR 30,000 in the form of demand draft to be drawn in favour of the executive engineer of Municipal Affairs, payable at the Lerie branch of the SBI in Kohima, within this extended time period. The remaining dwelling units shall be allotted to the ‘wait listed’ beneficiaries with due approval from the government, the DIPR stated.
