The kitchen gutted by fire in Mokokchung town on Tuesday.

Mokokchung, Dec. 15 (EMN):
A fire broke out in the kitchen of a hotel at Arkong ward in Mokokchung on Tuesday afternoon when the chefs were reportedly preparing food.

One of the chef said that the fire was started by a LPG leakage when they were preparing food at around 2:30 pm.

The hotel staff and volunteers tried to douse the inferno but were unable to do so. The shops adjacent to the hotel also vacated their shops and goods, and the fire brigade was informed.

The fire was immediately brought under control with the help of firefighters and volunteers.

The kitchen was completely razed down but there were no cases of injury.

The owner of the hotel informed that property worth more than INR 3 lakh was destroyed by the fire.

He also said that the kitchen would be rebuilt soon and changes would be made to make business more efficient and serve the customers better.
