DIMAPUR — Minister of Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, inaugurated the Horticulture sub-divisional office in Pughoboto town under Zunheboto district on Wednesday.
Delivering the inaugural speech, Kruse highlighted the government’s commitment to improve the lives of the people under the leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio. She stated that the Horticulture department is dedicated to providing farmers with the best possible resources and assistance to explore new avenues in agriculture.
While assuring that the department would diligently implement all developmental schemes, the minister encouraged the citizens to interact with department officials.
A DIPR report stated that the opening of a sub-divisional Horticulture office was expected to mark a new chapter towards a sustainable future for the people of Pughoboto.
MLA Dr. Sukhato A Sema, in his brief speech, emphasised the potential of Pughoboto sub-division to transform into a sustainable economy. He urged the Horticulture department to bridge the gap and contribute to the area’s transformation into a vibrant and thriving society.
Short speeches were also delivered by director of the Horticulture department, Meyasashi, and the additional deputy commissioner of Pughoboto, Tiameren Chang.
The programme was chaired by the secretary of Horticulture department, Akumla Chuba, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by DHO Zuneboto, Dr. Alongba Tzudir.
