Kohima, Nov. 14 (EMN): 3E Nagaland has informed that the registration for the 8th Hornbill Half Marathon has begun at the 3E office near Kohima local ground north gate and will continue till Nov. 30.
The event will take place on Dec. 2 at 7 am with the start and finish venue at the New Secretariat junction, Kohima. The half marathon will cover the international standard distance of 21.0975 km for both men and women categories.
The organising committee informed that the cash prizes for both categories will be INR 50000 for first position, INR 20000 for second, INR 10000 for third and INR 5000 for fourth.
The top 10 runners in both categories will be given timing-cum-merit certificates while runners who successfully finish the distance will receive completion certificates, an update stated.
The overseas runners and those from outside Nagaland may book their registration online through correspondence over Hornbill Half Marathon Facebook page or email.
The event is being organised by 3E Nagaland and will be officiated and certified by the Nagaland Athletics Officials Club. It is supported by the Tourism department with Colours Graphic Kohima as baggage tags and number bibs sponsor.
