SBI opens foreign currency exchange facility at Naga Heritage Village
SBI officials handing over a cheque of INR 10 lakh to the Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, towards the Hornbill Festival in Kisama on Friday.

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): State Bank of India (SBI), Kohima branch, has opened a foreign currency (FC) exchange facility at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, for the convenience of foreigners visiting the Hornbill Festival.

An update from SBI informed that exchange facility for currencies including USD (US dollar), EUR (Euro), GBP (Great Britain Pound/ British Pound Sterling), JPY (Japanese Yen), AUD (Australian Dollar), CAD (Canadian Dollar), SGD (Singapore Dollar) and AED (Emirati Dirham) would be available.

Documents required for foreign currency exchange are passport, arrival stamp which should not be earlier than 3 months and preferably a copy of VISA. The exchange facility would be opened from 10 am to 3 pm.

It updated that foreign currency exchanged on the 1st and 2nd day of the event was USD 2720, EUR 555 and GBP 300. The foreign currency exchange (buying) rate on December 2 in Indian rupee was USD 79.3, EUR 82.75, GBP 96.45, JPY 56.35, AUD 52.1, CAD 56.6, SGD 56.3 and AED 20.85, it informed.

Meanwhile, the assistant general manager, S Besii Bosco informed that SBI has donated INR 10 lakh for Hornbill Festival 2022.
