The Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA) is organizing a three day ‘Hornbill Bamboo Carnival’ at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, 6th Mile (Sovima), Dimapur from 6December 6 to 8.
A press communiqué from NBDA said that ith the theme “Bamboo, Art, Food and Music”, this carnival has been specially organized for exhibition and sales of bamboo items of various kinds including indigenous products and numerous other stalls which will be put up by different individuals, entrepreneurs and self-help groups.
The three-day carnival will also witness live music to be performed by almost 14 bands including the internationally acclaimed Alobo Naga and Semper Soul from USA. Coupled with tons of food and good music in the sprawling campus of the NBRC, this carnival promises an exciting getaway for bamboo aficionados, families and tourists.

With its objective of building lives, the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency is devoted in promoting bamboo crafts and enterprise around the State, a success story in the making.
The Hornbill Bamboo Carnival is opened to the public and the organizers seek the support and patronage of the Administration, Police and the public in general to make it a grand success. With the overwhelming support flowing in from various quarters already especially from bamboo enthusiasts, artists and musicians, this carnival is expected to draw in a huge crowd with its food stalls and live music, and will be an excellent time for family and children too. Daily timing is from 11 am to 7 pm.
