Hojha claims Kiruphema wrestling title

(EM Images)[/caption] Kohima Bureau Peducha, Dec. 28 (EMN): Menuoselie Hojha emerged as the champion at the wrestling meet of the Kiruphema Youth Organisation (KYO) held on December 28 at KGC Ground, Peducha. The new KYO champ Hojha lifted the title by defeating Megotsolie Neikha in the final. The third position was bagged by Keneisar Zenyü-u, followed by Neilasielie Vielie in the fourth place. The champion was awarded a cash award of INR 12,000, followed by the runner-up with a cash award of INR 8,000. The third and fourth position winners both received INR 5,000 and INR 4,000 respectively. A total of 21 wrestlers took part in the tournament. Earlier, the inaugural function of the 43rd wrestling meet, chaired by Makolie Suosahie, commenced with invocation pronounced by Mezhüngulie Mor, travelling pastor, WABCC. KYO advisor Neicasatuo Visienyü delivered the welcome address, followed by a special number by Ketouvisie Suohumvü. Day-two which coincides with the KYO day, will be graced by Goneiu Sirie, President NPF, Kohima Division, as the chief guest.
