Hockey Championship: Quarter-final matches today

Imphal, May 18 (EMN): The quarter-final matches of the ongoing 12th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship 2022 will be held at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium in Imphal today.

In the first match at 8 am, Hayrana will take on Mizoram, while Uttar Pradesh will meet Chandrigarh at 10 am.

Madhya Pradesh will face Maharashtra in the third match at 4 pm followed by a match between Jharkhand and Punjab at 6 pm under the flood light.

Host Manipur lost to Jharkhand 1-4 on Tuesday and were knocked out of the tournament.

The semi-finals of the two-week long hockey championship will be held on May 21, while the medal matches for the championship are scheduled for May 22.

It may be mentioned that 23 teams from states and union territories including five teams from Northeast — Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh — are participating in the championship.
